You’re Never Too Old or Too Young
for Fine Jewelry
When is fine jewelry an
appropriate gift? Is a girl ever too young? Or a woman too old? The quick and
firm answer to both questions is a resounding “no!” A baby may be too young to
wear a gift of fine jewelry. But generally, there is a parent or two on hand to
save the gift for her, and to let her know its importance in her life when she
becomes old enough to appreciate it. The same goes for older women. Why ever
think that you’re “too old” to enjoy fine jewelry! Investing in yourself,
enjoying a gift of personal art, can be life affirming. A piece of fine jewelry
worn and enjoyed is never wasted. |

As
early as the fourth century B.C., the Romans engaged in an annual young

martyred some two hundred years earlier. According to church tradition
St. Valentine was a priest near Rome in about the year 270 A.D. At that
time the Roman Emperor Claudius-II who had issued an edict forbidding
