1965... Curt Parker began to practice his art as a jeweler.
1977... Curt Parker incorporated. He steadily built a reputation
for quality, originality and service.
1980...
Elizabeth Parker earned her Diamond certificate from the Gemological Institute
of America.
1981...
Curt Parker earned his Diamond certificate from the Gemological Institute of
America.
1982...
Elizabeth Parker becomes member in the Gemological Institute of
America Alumni Association.
1985...
Curt Parker Jewelers opened its showroom in Clayton, catering to
clients’ special requests, from acquiring collector’s stones, custom
designing and restyling jewelry to conducting appraisals.
1987...
Elizabeth Parker is awarded with the Graduate Gemologist title from the
Gemological Institute of America.
1989... Curt Parker Jewelers earned membership in the prestigious
American Gem Society. Elizabeth Parker earned the title Registered Jeweler.
1990... Elizabeth Parker earned the
American Gem Societys
title Certified Gemologist. This coveted appointment is awarded to an elite group of
jewelers in America and is given only after strict examination of proficiency and proof of
unquestionable business ethics and practices. Elizabeth has her Ph.D. from St. Louis
University. Her Graduate Gemologist degree is from the Gemological Institute of America.
1992... Curt Parker Jewelers moved to its present location,
expanding their showroom and offices. Their move provided free parking and handicapped
access.
1994... Curt Parker Jewelers earned the
American Gem Society Accredited Gem Lab certificate. Approximately 300 such labs exist in North America.
1995... Jean Mennes earned her Fine Jewelry certificate from GIA.
1996... Elizabeth Parker earned her Certified Gemologist
Appraiser title from the
American Gem Society. Curt was awarded the Registered Jeweler
title from the American Gem Society. Jean Mennes completed her GIA Pearl certificate. Curt
Parker Jewelers entered THE WEB! Curt & Elizabeth won the 1996 International American
Pearl Vision award for creative use of American cultured pearls.
1997...
Curt won the Award of Excellence in the 1997
International American Pearl Vision award competition. Curt Parker Jewelers joins
The
Jewelry Information Center. Curt & Elizabeth won a 1st and a 3rd place award in the
1997 Missouri Jewelers Association yearly conference.
1998
Curt was a winner in the 1998 International Platinum Passion
Design Competition. Curt also won the 1998 International American Pearl Vision award.
Elizabeth and Curt Parker of Curt Parker Jewelers were awarded the title Couture Jeweler, placing
them in the company of the countrys top 150 jewelry retailers. Curt Parker Jewelers
was recognized for achieving and maintaining exemplary standards as purveyors of luxury
goods and services at the annual Couture Collection & Conference, a by-invitation-only
event featuring the work of the worlds most distinguished fine jewelry designers and
manufacturers.
1999... Elizabeth Parker was elected to
the Missouri Jewelers and Watchmakers Association Board of Directors. Curt was the Grand Prize
winner in the American Pearl Company’s Vision ’99 Design
Competition and the First Place winner in the Missouri Jewelers Association yearly
conference in the Platinum division. In April, Anne Howitt and in July,
Linlee Jansen joins our team. Curt Parker Jewelers join the
American Gem Trade
Association.
Linlee Jansen earned her Diamond Essentials certificate from GIA. Curt
Parker Jewelers wins Readers Choice Award for Best of the Web.
GemKey
Magazine honors the industry's top websites. Elizabeth was a keynote speaker at the Jewelers of America annual
convention held in Las Vegas.
2000... Anne Howitt earned her Diamond and Diamond Grading certificates from GIA. Linlee Jansen earned her Diamond certificate from GIA. Elizabeth gave five workshops at the Jewelers of America seven state regional conference held in Kansas City. Linlee Jansen won 1st place for her
“Destiny” pendant
and Curt won 3rd place award for his
“Ocean” pendant
at the 2000 Missouri Jewelers Association annual conference. Kerri
Buchman joins our team as a Jeweler apprentices Curt Parker Jewelers was the first in St. Louis to purchase and offer new Starweld Laser technology for manufacturing and repairing jewelry. Linlee Jansen was promoted to assistant store manager. Curt was a keynote speaker at the Professional Jewelers Show in Las Vegas. Curt was a finalist in the
Signity Design Contest
with his jewelry displayed at the entrance to the Jewelers of America Show in New York. Curt Parker Jewelers and the
‘Starweld Laser” was featured on “Show Me St. Louis,
KSDK 5” and on “Focus 11, KPLR-TV” evening news.
2001... Elizabeth Parker was elected to the International
Board of Directors of the
American Gem Society.
Anne Howitt was awarded the Registered Jeweler
title from the American Gem Society. Linlee Jansen earned her Diamond
Grading Certificate from GIA. Linlee Jansen was awarded the Registered Jeweler
title from the American Gem Society. Curt Parker Jewelers current advertisement campaign was featured in the
prestigious Retail Ad World. Curt had the honor of designing the cover of
Professional Jeweler magazine.
2002... Curt
Parker Jewelers designs moves into a free standing building at Conway and
Lindbergh. Curt Parker Jewelers become corporate sponsors or the St. Louis
Rams football team. Anne Howitt became Community Outreach and Special events

2003...
Curt Parker Jewelers become corporate sponsors or the St. Louis Rams football
team. Nicole Chappell is appointed to store manager. Christine Carroll joins
sales staff. Suzanne Brown joins our staff as an apprentice jeweler. Curt
Parker Jewelers and the Jazzercisers raised more than $70,000 to benefit St.
Louis area youth through the St. Louis Rams Foundation.
2004... Curt
Parker Jewelers for the second year sponsored the St. Louis Rams half-time
show featuring the St. Louis area Jazzercisers.
2005... Lauren
Hirshberg joins the Curt Parker team of sales associates.
Curt Parker has a team of 62
people for the Komen St. Louis Race for the Cure®.
2006… Curt
Parker has a team of 66 people for the Komen St. Louis Race for the Cure®.
Charles Wallace join Curt Parker team of sales associates. Anne Howitt earns
Gemologist Diploma from GIA after completing Colored Stone Grading Courses
and Gem Identification successfully. Curt Parker is the Preferred Jewelers
of the St. Louis Rams for the fourth year.
