Our Fees

Fees begin at $75.00 per item.  Hourly rates are available for large collections or antique jewelry.  Future valuations on items we appraise for insurance replacement purposes are provided at no charge. 

Our Appraisal fees are not based on the total value of your jewelry.  This is an unethical practice and one that AGS does not condone.

Please call in advance for an appraisal appointment, (314)989-9909. Our hours are Tuesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.,  Saturdays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Our summer hours are Tuesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.,  Saturdays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Holiday hours are Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.,  Saturdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday hours 11:00 to 4:00. Items to be appraised must be left with us, for an approximate length of time we will discuss upon our meeting and seeing the jewelry first-hand.  “While you wait” appraisals will not be conducted.  We do believe in providing timely service, however, and always strive to return your jewelry as quickly as possible.

Jewelry is appraised “as is,” in its current condition.  Items to be appraised will be cleaned for better inspection.

Receipts, previous appraisals or other documentation you can provide about the jewelry can sometimes be very helpful.  Please plan on bringing any relevant paperwork along with your jewelry.

We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, bank debit cards, personal checks or cash for appraisal services.

Curt Parker Jewelers is a full-service jeweler.  Following the delivery of your appraisal, we would be happy to help you with any recommended repair of your jewelry, or its restyling.

A courteous and respectful discussion, during which any questions you may have are answered;

 A professionally executed document using the methodology warranted by the purpose of the appraisal  (For example, an appraisal for insurance purposes can be used for that purpose only);

 A statement of total value, applied to the appraisal in a manner that cannot be altered;

 An accurate gemological identification and evaluation of your jewelry written in language you can understand;

 A list of credentials of the AGS Certified Gemologist Appraisers and Registered Jewelers who performed or assisted with the appraisal;

 Identifying photographs of the jewelry items(s), if warranted;

 A clearly explained description of any grading system used for evaluating diamonds or colored gemstones.

 The appraisal services we provide are unbiased and professional.  Information regarding your appraisal will be kept with the strictest confidence.
