Curt Parker Jewelers is pleased
to offer to you professional appraisal services of the highest quality.
Jewelry appraisals are used by insurance companies, banks,
governmental agencies and the courts, and must meet certain legal
requirements for each purpose. We
can provide accurate and reliable documentation of the quality and value
of your jewelry, whatever your needs may be.
The most important elements in a
professional appraisal services are the appraisers’ knowledge and
integrity.
Curt Parker Jewelers is a member
of the prestigious
American Gem Society and we include on our staff a Certified Gemologist Appraisers and
four Registered Jewelers with
more than 60 years of combined experience in the jewelry industry. An
American Gem Society Certified Gemologist Appraiser (CGA) is recognized
throughout the jewelry industry as an appraisal authority.
The title of CGA is the highest awarded by the American Gem
Society.
The
American Gem Society was founded in 1934 and promotes the highest professional standards of
ethics, gemological knowledge, education and service in the jewelry
industry. Today it is an
elite group of jewelers in North America.
Those who are AGS titleholders have attained the very highest
levels of gemological expertise.
The AGS requires its Certified
Gemologist Appraisers to have an AGS Accredited Gem Laboratory on the
premises. This
laboratory must contain a variety of specific equipment to perform an
accurate gem or metal identification.
An additional requirement of CGAs is continuing education,
including an annual recertification exam to prove continued
proficiency and familiarity with new developments in the industry.
Color vision/hue discrimination is also tested routinely. Curt
Parker Jewelers strictly adheres to all of these requirements.
