CURT PARKER JEWELERS WINS
AWARD IN DESIGN COMPETITION
ST. LOUIS
– Curt Parker’s “Ice Candy” pendant took second place honors at the Missouri
Jewelers and Watchmakers Association annual convention in April.
The
award-winning design is a 20.40ct chisel cut Aquamarine wrapped with bands
of white gold set with round Brilliant cut diamonds. It is a one-of-a-kind
piece from a collection created by Parker after he discovered rare chisel
cut gemstones cut by a master cutter. “These gemstones are incredibly bright
and captivating,” said Parker.
Entries
in the competition must be created, as well as designed, by Missouri
Jewelers. The contest included entries from across the state that were
judged for their creativity and innovation, originality of the design,
salability, wearability and workmanship.
The Missouri Jewelers and
Watchmakers Association is an advocate for professionalism and high ethical
standards in the jewelry trade. Its goal is to assist all members by
providing meaningful educational programs, services and recognition.
